Since having the 8th Day come and declutter my Garage my life has completely changed. My garage has been transformed from an ongoing stress into a very usable storage area and work space. I was amazed at how much could be done in such a short time.
The 8th Day also trained me in ways to stop the clutter from reappearing by using some very simple techniques. I have since decluttered my home as well as started on my work room. I am a new woman with more time on my hands and much less stress.

Dining and Lounge Room Makeover
Our client was overseas and left us with the task of "re-claiming" the dining room! The dining room had become the area where all the household paperwork accumulated. We got the filing cabinet out of the garage and sorted the paperwork based on the folders already set up in the cabinet.
We created a "to throw out" box of paper we did not think was needed and left that on top of the filing cabinet for review. We also created an "Action" folder that contained unopened mail and other paperwork we thought may require action. We recommended that the filing cabinet is left in-doors to facilitate filing in the future. And now our client can have dinner parties in her beautiful dining room again.

Our clients had been planning to install the new fireplaces and mantel themselves, but work and study rightly had priority. So they asked us to organise this work while they were away. We stayed in the house each time the installers came. (It takes three days to install a fireplace).
On the first day, the hearths were concreted; this took about two hours.
The next day, the tiles were laid and the loose bricks in the chimney were mortared. This also took about two hours. On the third day, the cast iron inserts and the mantelpieces were installed. This final day took about two and a half hours. It was while this work was being carried out that we did the paperwork in the dining room.
